George Blair & Mary Murdock

Conventional Research
George Blair was born about 1759 and came to IL in 1796. He married Mary Murdock in 1799. George and Mary had one known son, James Blair b. 18 May 18, 1800 St. Clair Co. IL. James married Martha Bonham on April 16, 1820. They had sons: Eliza Blair, George W. Blair, John D. Blair, and William J Blair.   Martha Bonham, died in 1831 and James married (2) Nancy Brantley June 13, 1831. They had sons: James M. Blair, Samuel R Blair, Elias B. Blair, and Francis M. Blair.

DNA Testing
Three participants believe they descend from George Blair and Mary Murdock.  Two of them descend through James Blair and Nancy Brantley (#105502 and #134754) and one descends through James and Martha Bonham (#47827).

All three participants have tested at least 37 markers. Participant #105502 and #134754 match each other on all 37 markers and match #47827 on 34 of 37 markers.

All of the participants are haplogroup R1b1b2  and all are in Group 2.

The diagram below show the pedigrees of the three participants based on conventional research.

Conclusions
The DNA test results are consistent with the conventional research. There is no reason to doubt that all three participants descend from George Blair and Mary Murdock.
